Scent: Buffalo berries are loved by both humans and birds and taste best after the first touch of frost. These berries are high in Vitamin C and Iron. A natural ‘slushy’ is easily made by mixing the berries with sugar, water, and a little snow. First Nations people
traditionally used the berries to wash their hair due to the natural foaming action of saponin. Traditional medicine used teas made from the plant to treat upset stomachs, constipation, and arthritis.
